Sewing!
I recently started sewing a bit. Haven't made much, but it's really cool to be able to make objects and things out of fabric, or repairing clothes/plushies! So I wanted to show you my most recent project!
Fabrics
So I first went to a fabric shop to purchase some things, and wow was it cool. There were so many types, colors, and patterns! From fabrics that could be a boring towel, to very fancy shirts! After about 2 hours of wandering around, I came home with 3 project ideas. And a whole bunch of fabric!
I got a very nice and soft strawberry patterned one for a hoodie (and a whole bunch of zippers and miscellaneous things). Also a smaller purple fabric that's incredibly soft for a plushie! But the one I used for the project has a very cool pattern with pink chains, and a black/gray/white background! Perfect for a skirt :D
Sewing
Sewing is sort of difficult, you need to understand so many terms, and be relatively precise. Sewing machines can be finicky too. But luckily one of my parents could help with it, probably couldn't do it on my own! So thank you if you're reading this :D
Anyways, we made it like an A-line skirt, flaring out a bit on the bottom. In addition, we used some scrap pieces of fabric to create 2 strings which worked like a sort of giant shoe-string. It makes sure the top of the skirt is tight enough to not to fall down!

And after about 4 hours of sewing, it was done!
It looks really nice, and fits well! So it was a great success! I will probably make more clothing in the future, and those will get posted here too!
Sewing is fun. I recommend that you give it a try if possible (and if someone can help). It's useful too, being able to repair clothes instead of throwing em away and buying new ones! Or helping out old plushies!
